Today’s hot programming opinion, language.

food, breakfast, mushrooms!

The fact that people in this country want to frame being opposed to using nuclear weapons to kill vast numbers of innocent people and cause fallout that would last for generations is a bad thing makes me want to bang my head against a wall.

Does anyone have any good advice on note taking while reading? I feel like I am reading a lot and getting lots from my reading but I don’t always retain the information or get it muddled and I think taking notes on subjects will provide me not only a useful reference to go back through but also aid my holding information. I am about as academic as a block of wood though so I am struggling to work out what I should be noting and not. I feel like sometimes I am just going to copy the book out.

food, pizza.

I prefer red wine over white. I prefer beer that’s served room temperature instead of chilled larger. I prefer a hot cup of tea above all. I think I might be prejudiced against cold beverages.

Tonight I am taking time out for myself and playing a game instead of trying to create anything. My brain has turned to mush and I just want to throw some dice.

BRB, learning to juggle with these woolly pumpkins someone made our little one.

day 6

The kick on this was made from the output of maths channel running at audio rate fed into the top channel of an LxD that was being pinged.

Tonight’s birds nest of wires, note how I have a spare passive mult kicking about incase of emergency.

Toot! v1.10 has been released!

itunes.apple.com/us/app/toot/i

It's been quiet a while because I've been dealing with a lot of life, but finally, v1.10 is here! This release is mainly focused on accessibility, which I've been neglecting so far. This version makes a bunch of improvements to that on the main screens of the app, if you have iOS 13. It's not perfect yet, but I hope to do a few more accessibility-related releases in the future if I get some good feedback on what needs doing!

I will keep turning out entries for the moment but I think I need to sit down and reassess how I approach this so that I feel that I am growing instead of just moving with the flow.

Its not that I am not enjoying wiggling on my synth again but more that I know I can do much better if only I had the time to properly work on it, and I really don’t have it. Maybe it’s making me feel like I am simultaneously working below my ability and not having enough time to properly explore and experiment to learn.

Maybe this is why I am not feeling the same rush of achievement that I did with Inktober. Then every little sketch felt like another victory, a small achievement in learning a new medium, Novembeat feels a bit more like going through the motions.

I feel so much more in my comfort zone with Novembeat than I ever did Inktober. Even being much more pushed for time I feel infinitely more comfortable sitting in front of my synth and patching an idea up quickly and ending up with something close to what I had in mind than I ever did trying to sketch something on paper. Im not saying that I am good at music, I definitely am not, but it shows with a flashing neon sign where my comforter zone and knowledge is.
